Student-Run Businesses

Students from the 8th Grade Manufacturing and Design class at Wilson Middle School sold their goods at the Carlisle Homecoming game.  Representatives from Herd Hoodies and Herd Blankets set up early and greeted fans as they entered.  All of the products sold were designed and printed by the students in the Tech Ed classroom under the supervision of Mr. Hvizdos.  In addition to designing and printing, students learned what it takes to start and run a small business.  They conducted surveys, shopped for the lowest prices, wrote business letters, developed invoices, purchase orders, and did all of the marketing for their products.
